Necklace - Green Illusions

This necklace is truly unique. Five large shimmering green teardrop shaped Paua shell pendants set among green Aventurine beads and gold plated lantern beads make this a real eye-catching piece. Gold plated filigree tubes lead up to trios of Abalone shell disks alternating with gold plated beads to form the supporting strands that end with a lovely ornate S-hook clasp for easy attachment. This necklace is 21 inches long with a drop of 11 1/2 inches.

Paua shell components have a great range of iridescent color that is complemented by intricately carved detailing and no two Paua shells are the same. The world over, there are hundreds of varieties of Abalone, however, Paua is the most sought after due to its vibrant, iridescent colors. In the United States and Australia Paua is also called "Sea Opal."
